Landmarks of Manhattan — summer 2014
A summer few days in Manhattan — the zodiac ceiling and marble concourse of Grand Central, the lights of Times Square, the Statue of Liberty and the skyline from the harbor, the quiet water of the 9/11 Memorial, and a long afternoon in the Met among Egyptian temples and gilded rooms. A few summer days in Manhattan, hitting the landmarks one after another. We stood under the zodiac ceiling and marble concourse of Grand Central, wandered into the lights of Times Square, and took the harbor out to the Statue of Liberty with the skyline stacked up behind her.
The quiet counterweight was the water and stone of the 9/11 Memorial, and then a long afternoon in the Met, among Egyptian temples and gilded rooms. The city compresses a lot into a short visit — we just kept walking.
This trip ran 4 days, June 30 – July 3, 2014. Along the way we spent time at The Harbor & the Skyline, The Met, Grand Central Terminal, Midtown & Times Square, and The 9/11 Memorial. The gallery below tells it day by day, in 26 photographs.
